Fruit Kesari is one of the popular sweet recipes in India and can be prepared on festivals and also a prasadam/offering to god in temples. This kesari recipe is prepared using different fruits and varieties but in this article we are using few fruits like pomegranate and Grapes.
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Bombay Rava
- 1 Cup Sugar
- Ghee
- 10 Cashew Nuts
- Kesar color
- Pomegranate seeds
- Grapes
Fruit Kesari Preparation:
- Heat the Kadai with ghee and add cashew nuts. Fry them till they turn slight brown in colour.
- Keep them aside to cool them.
- In the same Kadai in the leftover ghee, add 1 cup of Rava and sauté it for a few minutes.
- Add 2 cups of water and cook for 5 minutes.
- Constantly stir the mixture so that the batter doesn’t stick to the pan. After that add the fried cashew nuts and stir.
- After 2 minutes take a small bowl and add the Kesar colour to a small amount of water and mix it.
- Add this mixture to the batter and mix it thoroughly. Then add 1 cup of sugar to the batter. You can add the sugar according to your taste preference. The food colour can also be added according to your preference.
- Cover the pan with a lid for 2 minutes and let the batter cook for 2 minutes. Ghee can be added according to your preference.
- Now add the pomegranate seeds and grapes and give it a mix.
- Now take the content into a serving bowl and Fruit Kesari is ready to eat…
